Generous support from patients and their families enhances our ability to offer outstanding patient care.
Appreciative for the care that they or their loved ones have received, our contributors make charitable gifts that help maintain our world-class patient care and clinical advances by funding research, education, and special programs and projects.
Private support has helped us achieve the following:
- Early support for novel research project, helping them get off the ground and attract major federal grant support
- Consistent research investment in key areas such as Alzheimer's disease and memory, stroke, sleep disorders, Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, and epilepsy.
- Expansion of our research and treatment facilities -- including the creation of a sophisticated driving simulator to study and improve how age, disease, or other health problems affect the way people drive.
- In addition to weekly conferences and seminars held by department faculty and regular academic visitors, the department hosts worldrenowned visiting specialists to lecture and interpret with our physicians and scientists every year.
